Eizabeth Kurz Michel is a senior History major and English minor at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, Massachusetts. They have a particular interest in alternative social history. They plan to attend the University of Toronto study Library Science and Archives Management in the fall of 2017. They currently intern at the North Adams Public Library and work in the MCLA Identity and Gender Equality Resource Center.

Madeleine McKeon is a sophomore History major at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Her studies focus on European and religious history. She has interned with the Buttonwoods Museum in Haverhill, Massachusetts, assisting with the development of education programs and completing research on 19th-century missionary movements. She also serves as President of her school’s History Society and as Secretary of the Debate Club.

We would like to thank our professors Dr. Ken Owen of the University of Illinois at Springfield and Dr. Mary Beth Mathews of the University of Mary Washington, for their continued support and advice as well as our fellow COPLAC comrades for their thoughtful edits and suggestions! We would also like to thank our MCLA advisor, Dr. Anthony Daly, for bringing us together on to work on this project as well as his moral support and encouragement throughout this process.
